This is the apex body of the Order in Ghana with oversight responsivity of all Grand Commanderies and Auxiliaries throughout Ghana.
It has since its creation, contributed splendidly to the growth in spirit, membership and fraternalism of our Noble Order.
Ghana currently has ten (10) Grand commanderies and Auxiliaries spread over the country
A Grand Commandery consist of all Grand Commandery Officers, past presidents of the Grand Commandery, District Commanders, Delegates from Local Commanderies within the territory embraced in the Grand Commandery, Local Commandery Presidents and Commander of the Uniformed Rank of the Local Commanderies.
The Districts comprise all local commanderies and Auxiliaries within our parishes in Ghana. They are either organized along a Battalion, Regiment or a Brigade
The foundation of the Knights and Ladies of St John is its cadets and Juniors aged 7-15. They are attached to the local Commandery and Auxiliary for proper grooming and education of the catholic faith. The Knights and Ladies of St. John International owe it a duty to groom as many Catholic children as possible, not only to aspire to future Knights but also to enhance their grounding in the Catholic Faith.
The cadet and junior auxiliary go through the comprehensive and integral formation. These include but are not limited to Human formation i.e. physicals, emotional, personal development, interpersonal relationship, sexuality, discipline, leadership and teamwork.
Intellectual formation: i.e. learning the catechism of the Catholic Church, the Social Teachings of the Church, the Holy Scriptures, Liturgy etc. The intellectual formation also includes career guidance and counselling, computer literacy (ICT) and capacity building in their school, vocational or professional studies.
