Brigadier General Joseph Weguri Pwoawuvid, the Navrongo Bolgatanga Grand Commandery president was initiated into the Order on the 22nd of November 2004. Exemplified into the 2nd/3rd, 4th and 5th Degrees between 2005 to 2023.

He held various offices in the Order from the Commandery through becoming the 7th District as its Commander and later, elected as the Navrongo Bolgatanga Grand president on September 17, 2023. He also chaired various committees in the with diligence and distinction.
Graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1983, has a postgraduate diploma in the organization, economics and management of national economy in 1985 from Sofia-Bulgaria and a Master of Arts in Organization Development in 2010 from the University of Cape Coast.
Brigadier General Joseph Weguri Pwoawuvid taught for a while a teacher. He subsequently entered into consulting in 1996 and worked for Afri-water Ltd and Gariba development associates on CIDA, DANIDA, World Bank/IDA, CoWATER, GtZ/kfw, afd, Royal Hensinsi Netherland and SNV projects.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sap & Sap Ltd and has provided consultancy services for Co-Water International both at the DISCAP and in Africa, in the North region as their capacity building consultant.
He has several publications on water supply, health, hygiene, sanitation delivery and financial management in the water sector and helped design both the Navrongo Urban Water Supply and Tono Water Supply to feed some towns in the Upper Region.
Socially, Brig General Weguri Pwoawuvid is an advocate for cultural renaissance especially for the Navrongo traditional area, very firm on principle, outspoken and forthright but fair in his dealings with people. He is a royal of the Navro Paare Kwara Skin, walks the streets of Navrongo on foot and is very easy to reach.
At church, he is an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Legion of Mary. He is married to Priscilla Atiyire and they are blessed with four children.
