NS Dame Josephine Awuah

Noble Sister Dame Josephine Awuah was initiated into St. Theresa Ladies Auxiliary No. 319, Knights of St. International, Kumasi on 8th December 1961.

She is currently the Supreme 1st Trustee. Earlier, she held the following offices in the Order; Supreme Subordinate President from 2011-2015, SS Treasurer between 2005 –  2007, President, of Cape Coast Grand 1997- 2001, Secretary to the Ghana Grand Board between 1993 -1995, President, of St. Theresa Aux. #319, Kumasi between 1992 -1994

District President from 1993 -1995 and many other roles space cannot contain.

Noble Sister Dame Josephine Awuah was exemplified with a Noble Degree in 1992

Professionally, she is a Secretary and worked at Kumasi City Council from 1963 to 1977. She continued at Bast Fiber Development Board from 1977 to 1990 after which she retired from active government service to the private sector.

She has a very active church life and worships at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Chaplaincy, KNUST. She was a Sunday School teacher from 1976 to 2008, Member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Choir from 1979 to date, Archbishop’s representative on Archdiocesan Synod in 1994, KNUST Chaplaincy representative on Archdiocesan Synod in 2004, Supreme Subordinate representative on National Laity Council from 2008 to 2018.

Through her dedication to matters of God and Country, she was conferred with the Dameship of St. Gregory in 2008 by the leadership of the Catholic.

She is married for 56 good years with 4 children and 14 grandchildren.

Her interest is in football and politics.
