NS Magdalene Akeriwe

Biography

Noble Sister Magdalene Akeriwe joined the Ladies Auxiliary in June 1983 at Our Lady of Perpetual #343 Bolgatanga.

She rose through the ranks starting with 2nd Vice President to 1st Vice President became a board member in 2000 and was elevated to Deputy Organizer in 2006.

She was the treasurer of Tamale Grand for two terms, then moved to 2nd Vice President for two terms. In 2012 she attended the Supreme Convention with the then Grand President, Rose Mwinyela of late in Charlotte USA.

Noble Sister Magdalene Akeriwe is currently the Tamale Grand President. She is a professional teacher with a Diploma in Home Economics. She taught at Navrongo Senior High School in Navrongo for twenty years until she retired in 2008. Her hobbies include cooking and socializing.

She is a Eucharistic minister at her Parish and a member of the Pastoral Council and Catholic Women’s Association.

She has six children and the first son, a Priest. She resides in Paga a border town in the Upper East Region.
